Local civil rights leader Coleman supports Kraft white chocolate recall

The question remains: is the dark chocolate also "premium"?
Local civil rights leader Rev. Louis Coleman said today he strongly supports Kraft’s massive recall of white chocolate.  The Northfield, Ill. Co announced this week it was recalling packages of Premium White Chocolate Baking Squares, largely because of possible salmonella contamination.

Still, Rev. Coleman was encouraged by the move. “It shows we’ve made some progress after all these years,” said Coleman.  “Dark chocolate has been recalled countless times, blamed for rotten teeth, kids not sittin’ still, large backsides…I could go on and on.  This is the first white chocolate recall on record.  It’s a strong statement to other companies – white products can be recalled, too.  Get wit the program, people – it’s the 21st century.  I applaud Kraft for its effort to desegregate chocolate.”

Kraft spokesman Larry Rothschild said the company’s main priority was to keep people from getting ill, but the fringe benefits were a nice surprise.  “We’re glad the civil rights leaders recognize our neutral stance on chocolate recalls,” said Rothschild.  When asked if the company is planning to produce a white-dark chocolate blend, Rothschild had no comment.
