Earl Clark to leave blog and focus on NBA Draft
E5 blog founder Earl Clark said he will leave his successful blog in order to focus more of his attention on the upcoming NBA Draft.
“I guess you could say I'm just goin' to walk away from it all,” said Clark, whose blog has been closely followed by illiterate elementary school children in his home state of New Jersey. “I hate to do it to the kids, but they're just goin' to have to learn from someone else on how to spell incorrectly. There are a lot of different ways to find wrong grammar in this country, and I wish them luck.”
Clark said that while he would like to continue writing for the blog, pre-draft camps and evaluations will take too much of his time.
“You just don't understand, man, tryin' to get out 200 words or so a week is tough,” he said. “I mean, think about it, 200 words. That's a lot of words right there. With all the camps and all, there's just a lot goin' on. I have to prove to these scouts I can hit the trey.
“I have a way with words, but I don't think they care much about it. It's not about the money. I just have to walk a different path right now. Maybe take a few steps here and there in a different direction.”
