"One game left": Manning's focus turns to Pro Bowl

A frustrated Peyton Manning blamed his first Super Bowl win on Rex Grossman, and then lashed out at his Pro Bowl teammates for celebrating too early.

"What are you doing?" Manning asked teammates during their premature celebrations.

"Look, the only player who got a so-called monkey off his back was Rex Grossman,” said Manning, still trying to figure out a hairstyle that matches his humongous forehead. “He finally underachieved to the level everyone expected during the playoffs, and he was able to win the game for us. I’m happy for Rex, but I’ve got to get my teammates ready for next week.”

After the victory, Manning quickly honed in teammates Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, and Tarik Glenn, who were seen dancing and tossing confetti with Indianapolis fans.

“I just told the guys, 'hey, we have unfinished business,'” he said. “We can be proud of ourselves tonight, celebrate a little, but there’s still one game left. There’s no time for high-fivin’ or promising your illegitimate children Disney World vacations. Tomorrow we have to put this game behind us and turn our attention to the game in Hawaii. As Kordell Stewart once told me, you may only have one shot at the Pro Bowl, so you’ve got to take advantage of it.”
