Sampson receives support from IU Native American population
Indiana University coach Kelvin Sampson has been under fire recently due to his breach of numerous NCAA violations. Sampson, however, has received some support from the school's Native American population. Sampson is part American-Indian.
"It certainly feels good to have some support," Sampson said. "I am getting pretty tired of the animosity."
The schools Native American population, however, is very small. Consisting of only Chief
Shoot-da-Three, the influence of this particular group may be unseen.
Chief Shoot-da-Three, seen at right in his match.com profile picture, believes that everyone deserves another chance.
"So he made a couple hundred phone calls to some people," Chief Shoot-da-Three said. "Who hasn't been guilty of getting some digits and calling a few hundred times?"
Chief Shoot-da-Three, who has been the recipient of numerous restraining orders, feels that punishing someone for being overzealous with phone calls is ludicrous.
"This doesn't make any sense to me, it never has," Chief Shoot-da-Three said. "Why give away your number, you know?"
